Celia Farran has been described as “A cross between an Earthy Enya, Joan Baez, and Tina Fey. She has the kind of silky smooth voice often associated with classic Celtic Singers, such as Celtic Woman. With powerful, heart-felt vocals and wacky comedic improvisations, the audience never knows what will happen with Celia on stage. Celia is from Wisconsin and calls Prescott, AZ home. She is currently touring with her 10th album, Letting Go. No matter how many times you think you’ve seen Celia, you can never predict what she will do and how deeply she can reach into the soul of an audience. “Celia’s music calls women to their glory and men to their hearts.”

“Celia is an ambrosia of vitality flowing from sweet to sass with the utmost of grace.”

Ariana Saraha: Singer, rhythmicist, earth muse, and wild spirit
It’s a rare world-fusion artist who stays close to her roots while foraying into the vast expanse of the global palette. Saraha is such a musician. Most often compared to Celtic singer Loreena McKennitt and alt-world artists Dead Can Dance, Saraha draws upon influences from the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, and Celtic & Eastern Europe, as well as performing a choice selection of traditional music of the same diaspora. But what really invites the listener in, beyond her vocal finesse and Old World influences, is Saraha’s rare mixture of raw wildness and heartfelt intimacy. Through her entrancing melodies, sultry grooves, and compelling lyricism, Saraha becomes a siren for the soulfully seeking.
Ariana performed at Beltania 2009 in addition to many other venues over the years. Riding the release of her debut album, Maiden of Midnight, Saraha is working on her next, From the Wild, while traveling the primordial and sweeping corners of the earth Download and listen to her album, find her on tour, and stay connected in this wild web of earthly delights.
“Ariana’s voice is a soaring, beautiful thing. Wrapped around expertly-played instruments of the Middle East, Persia, and India, her song very much takes flight. You follow it like a bird into the blue or a diver into the depths. Where Dead Can Dance brought us into the Labyrinth, Ariana Saraha offers to meet us in the Silence.”
— Dan Fairchild, Concert Producer, Boulder, CO
“I am utterly unprepared for her wild, mystical soul and music that transports me to faraway realms and ages. Frankly, I am blown away. I feel as if I have stumbled unknowingly upon a gypsy caravan and stepped into the circle of dancing firelight and music.”
— L.R. Heartsong, author

Danette Hollowell is a singer, songwriter and classically trained dancer. After a chance encounter with an opportunity to take part in a jazz scholarship at UCD, her professional career began to blossom. For the past 12 years Hollowell has brought an edge, dynamism and beautiful charisma to the Denver music scene. Danette is incredible as the front woman of a band but it’s her solo vocals and creative stamina that has carried her though the years and changes in the music industry.
Like many great musicians and songwriters, the creative process for Danette begins long before the studio. She uses experiences and her unique perspective to weave stories with classic sentiment and symbolic concepts. More than a jazz singer, she is the total package. She’s beautiful, mysterious and prefers to be barefoot because heels hurt her feet and she struggles to dance in them. Whether covers or originals, there’s nothing this phenom can’t do, and even if there was, you’d love to see her try
Explore magic and mysticism from the age of the Vikings with a rich musical tapestry of shamanic drumming, droning, and captivating melodies interwoven with spellbinding runic chanting. Kaedrich Olsen, runic scholar and author of Runes for Transformation, brings arcane rune magic to life by combining Old Norse rune songs (galdr) with modern atmospheric, consciousness-enhancing music.
DJ Theodore S
DJ Theodore S grew up in a family of music and dance lovers! His mother, aunts, and uncles listed to everything — blues, classic rock, funk, country, jazz, gospel, disco, classical — and all of these genres were blaring from the stereo every Saturday morning and sometimes during the week in his mother’s home! He honestly never thought he would become a prolific, well-respected vocalist … or a DJ for that matter! But, he is very happy and humble that he has acquired the skills and talent to move this thing called “house” forward … or whatever music genre he delves into! He has mad respect for all the DJ’s, producers, vocalists, and musicians who have paved the way for him, and all fellow DJ’s and musicians to keep pressing on night after night for the love of music in general! With a wonderful ear and great track selection, DJ Theodore S has a style that’s truly a treat for your musical soul.
Jessica Chernila, sacred child of Denver’s Legend of the Open Mic, Lenny C!, was born into a family of Poets. Raised in the company of merry men and women who counted themselves among the beat poets trailing from New York to Venice Beach to Denver, known as The Black Ace Bowery Poets. In the Denver poetry scene of the early 2000’s, JBless began her very own open mic platform: The Poet as Muse. Majestically pairing local artists and local poets on stages of various galleries and coffee houses throughout Denver, her showcase breathed life into the local poetry scene once again. This year, Jessica will provide the opportunity for anyone at Beltania to bless the stage with a poem. So be sure to sign up for the Open Mic event!
