Date(s) - 05/18/2017
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Ponderosa Lodge - Back Porch
This is the first of several experiences composing the Young Men’s Rite of Passage at Beltania 2017 and is required for all young men seeking to participate this weekend.
The Young Men’s Coming of Age at Beltania is a rite of passage that seeks to aid young men in finding their paths in society. Our goal is to help each Young Man reveal to himself the character and nature of his path, not to dictate it to him, as each one’s path is unique. Our goal is to make “becoming a Man” more meaningful to each participant than what ordinary society expects of us. At this introductory meeting you’ll get the full schedule for all activities throughout the weekend.
Dinner will be provided, or you can bring your own. There will be gluten-free, peanut-free, and dairy-free options. If you have purchased meal tickets, ask for your dinner in a to-go box and bring to Ponderosa.
While an RSVP is not required it is helpful. Add to your schedule by clicking the button below or sign up at the entrance gate. Indicate the total in your party coming to this dinner so we can prepare appropriately. Add a comment below to indicate if you’ll be bringing your own dinner, otherwise we will plan on providing food for all who RSVP.
Young Men’s Rites of Passage is presented by a team on the Beltania Staff led by Pat Cain. Pat has raised kids, sought transformations, brought mirth and reverence into this world, studied several paths and traditions, and thinks that helping others find their true path is a fantastic idea.
