Driving and Parking at Beltania
- When arriving or leaving, drive slowly, especially at night.
- All vehicles except RV’s/Campers will need to park in the designated parking lots, labeled Lots A-K on the map. Aside from the parking lots, the only Car Camping areas are along Ridge Road and there is room for about 20 vehicles there. In general though, you will not be able to park right next to your campsite. Exceptions are made for those who request access to the Reserved Camping Area, which is for handicapped/mobility impaired guests and families with small children.
- Once you park your car, you should not move it for the duration of your stay. No cruising!
- If you do need to leave and return just show your wristband for re-entry.
- Commuters please park in Lot A.
- The Gate Staff will help direct you to the parking area closest to the camping area you desire. They will also be able to describe the various camping areas to help you select the one you'd enjoy most, if you have not already selected your camping area.
The Center of the Universe
The central hub of Beltania Festival activity is hereafter referred to as "The Center Of The Universe."
The Center of the Universe, which most fundamentally in this model represents the center of expansion for all of Spacetime (as defined by Albert Einstein), also includes:
- The Main Stage,
- Main Ritual and Maypole Area,
- Sacred Balefire,
- Community Center with pavilion and tables/chairs,
- Merchant Booths,
- Community Resource Booth
- Food Vending,
- Information Booth (see below for all services offered there)
- Restrooms, trash collection, and recycling.
Camping Areas
There are four main camping areas at Beltania 2010. Community fire pits will be available in or near each area; if you wish to have your own individual fire please read and follow our Fire Pit Policy. A map is above.
"Earth Village" Camping Area: This is in the main festival area. One communal fire pit and large canopy shelter is centrally located. It is north of the Center of the Universe and the music speakers at the Stage are pointing away from this area. The last parking row in lot C, closest to the camping area, will be for pickup truck campers, conversion vans, or other campers that do not require an RV space, no reservation necessary. ADA-compliant portajohn is available near this area. The parking area is separate from but adjacent to the camping area. Quiet hours (no drumming, conversational volume of talking only from 10pm-9am). Open meadow, community feeling, best for being close to vehicle and easiest for keeping track of children.
"Astral Plain" Camping Area: Quiet hours apply. Concerts may be heard clearly in most parts of this area. Dispersed camping amongst pinon/juniper/scrub oak gives more privacy. One end is close to Reserved Camping Area where families with very young children will be. May involve more walking to vehicle but is in the middle of everything, close to concerts, and nice flat campsites. Can pick up /drop off stuff at Connection Canopy or Festival Road.
"Mystic Grove" Camping Area: Quiet hours do not apply. Concerts may be heard clearly in some parts of this area. Dispersed camping and open areas, may be able to camp near vehicles in lot H. Uneven rocky areas, game trails, and boulders present hazards to children (wildlife, cactus, getting lost or injured) so this is suggested for our adult campers who wish to have a more serene, private, spiritual experience than the Wild Meadow.
"Wild Meadow" Camping Area: Definitely no quiet hours. All night drumming and trance circles. If you were at Beltania last year, you can expect the same sort of environment in the Wild Meadow this year. Respect is expected at all times, drunkenness and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated at any time in community space. Wild Meadow Drum Circle is 18+ after midnight. Use caution on rocky and possibly uneven ground, and be aware of wildlife and other related issues in this more remote and natural setting. Parental discretion is therefore advised in whether to bring children to this area.
Reserved Camping Area: Families with young children (newborn - 5) or those requesting better access for mobility impaired or who have health issues. Reservations only necessary if for RV; tent camping no reservation necessary. Can park right next to tent. ADA compliant Handicap restroom close.
Merchant Camping Area: For merchants and their families/invited guests only, located behind merchant booths.
Bringing an RV, Camper, or Trailer?
Advance reservation is REQUIRED for any vehicle with a towed camper or trailer, or any RV larger than an ordinary vehicle. You will not be allowed to park in the regular parking lots or in a tent camping area.
If you're car camping (van, pickup with shell, car, etc) you will need to park in a regular parking lot or in the very small car camping area along Ridge Road. The best lots are Lot C and Lot H, for being adjacent to the tent camping area.
There are three areas suitable for RV's. At the entrance to the Wild Meadow (which is a separate field to the south and uphill of the main area, at the back of the park) is RV3, probably the flattest and most accessible area. Cars will also be parking behind this area. RV1 and RV2 are pretty large and flat areas in the northern area of the main campground, adjacent to the main parking area, closest to the entrance to the park. These have the best views and the most space. Lastly is in the Reserved Camping Area. It's an area that will be roped off, and is a special-request area for those with small children, who would like handicapped-accessible camping and parking, or who have any mobility impairment issues. That area is in the middle of everything, semicircular surrounded by trees and bushes, and open on the one side to the Center of the Universe.
We are not reserving any specific RV spots since they are first come first served (except for the Reserved Camping Area of course, or by special arrangement). There are no hookups. There is a public dump station at the gas station at Hwy 50 and Hwy 115. Contact Beltania@beltania.org if you'd like a spot in the Reserved Camping Area.

They are about 20 mintes from Beltania, have no hookups, but for $20 per night for 2 adults you can have a space for your RV. You must also purchase admission to their clothing-optional, family friendly hot springs which includes access to showers and restrooms. This is a good option if you have an RV and and if we run out of RV spaces or if you must bring a dog that can stay at the RV while you attend the festival .
Another campground for RVs with full hookups available is Indian Springs Ranch Campground, located about 35 minutes away from Beltania at:
3257 State Highway 67, Penrose, CO - (719) 372-3907
This is a good option if you require full hookups, but it is a good ways away from Beltania.
